There are three options to treating glaucoma: drops, laser, and surgery. Drops are our first line treatment and work well for most patients; however, some patients are not able to control their eye pressure with drops alone or they have developed an allergy to many of the drops. In these situation, performing a glaucoma laser procedure may be able to decrease the eye pressure without adding more drops or performing surgery. This is an office procedure that takes only about 10 minutes.
