Our tears drain from our eyes through the nasolacrimal duct (aka tear duct) into the back of the nose. When this pathway is blocked, it can lead to uncontrolled watering or tearing of the eye. If medical therapy fails to clear the blockage, then a reconstructive procedure can be performed to “re-route” the tears back into the nose.
